Project Summary

One of our current projects is focusing around developing a shared work programme on innovation with a new organisation created in 2013, the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network.

Why is this important to the HEEM?

Health Education East Midlands and the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN) have agreed to develop a shared work stream for education and training, led by a jointly appointed Director for Innovation.
This will enable a programme of aligned activities to address both the national priorities identified in “Innovation, Health and Wealth” and meet the population needs of the East Midlands.

Benefits to patients and service

The programme will enable us to improve our shared impact through shared goals and expertise to focus on the skills and attitudes necessary for research, innovation and improvement.
